Psychotherapy

What draws someone to begin talking therapy is rarely the same from one person to the next.

It might be a life event that is calling to be spoken about – the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship. At times, a particular symptom makes itself known; compulsive thoughts, anxiety in company, difficulties with food or addiction. Or it might be something less defined – a quiet sadness, a sense of being stuck, or the slow emergence of questions that resist easy answers: Why does this keep happening to me? What is it that I really want?

The psychotherapy offered here places its emphasis not on advice, diagnosis, or “cure”- but on the act of speech itself. It trusts that something in what we say – or what we cannot say- already points to what’s at stake. Symptoms, repetitions, and questions aren’t problems to be solved, but openings: ways in.

This isn’t a short-term fix or mental health support in the usual sense. It’s the process of exploring what truly matters to you, revealed gradually through each session.

Therefore, cultivating a sense of curiosity about the challenges that you bring to therapy is central to the process. What lies beneath these struggles? Where do they originate? Reflecting on these questions can feel difficult, yet it often becomes the gateway to meaningful, lasting change.

How to book + cost

Psychotherapy sessions are held online using a secure and confidential platform and can be booked directly using the link below.

The shape of each session will depend on what emerges in the work, but you can generally expect sessions to last between 30 and 50 minutes.

At NEST psychotherapy is offered in therapeutic arcs: a commitment to a shared process over time.

Sessions may occur once or twice a week, or occasionally less or more — depending on what the work calls for. The fee stays the same.
